POLICIES & REGULATIONS
Welcome to EMPWR Dance Experience! We’re excited to celebrate your hard work, passion, and artistry on stage. To keep our events running smoothly and ensure a safe, empowering environment for all, we ask that every participant, family member, and teacher follows the etiquette and policies below.
💃 Etiquette
Good sportsmanship is expected at all times from dancers, parents, and teachers. Let’s uplift and support each other—every performance matters.
Respect the performance order. Please check in with backstage staff and perform in your assigned slot unless given special permission.
Be performance-ready. We often run ahead of schedule, so dancers should be ready to perform at least 30 minutes early.
Age-appropriate music, choreography, and costumes are mandatory. Routines deemed inappropriate may be disqualified or judged for score only.
Flash photography and video recording are not allowed when a licensed photographer is present. Protecting dancer privacy is our priority.
Props must be safe. No fire, liquid, glitter, sharp objects, or anything that could damage the stage. All scenic elements over 6 feet tall require prior approval.
Clean up your space. If a routine leaves debris on stage, it must be cleaned immediately by the studio or performer.
Be kind. Be respectful. EMPWR is about more than dance—it's about creating a community of strength and grace.
📸 Media Release
By attending or participating in an EMPWR event, all contestants, directors, teachers, and guardians grant permission for photos/videos to be used for promotion across social media, website, or news coverage.

A dancer cannot compete against themselves in the same category/age division.
